Ring sizing... any advice?

So, it happens to guys also....for awhile my wedding ring could easily slip off with soap and water.  Then eventually jus****er was enough.

But last Sunday I grabbed a handful of clothes from the washer, threw them into the dryer, and off came my ring all on it's own.  The previous day I noticed I could shake it off my finger without any assistance, but I assumed it was partially due to the cooler weather.

My question: I could resize it down a notch, but I'm wondering what happens next summer.  Any thoughts on resizing now?

Don't resize yet.  Get a ring guard.  Walmart has a pack of plastic ones in different sizes that you can use along the weight loss process.  I need to get mine resized too but I am waiting until I get to my goal.

Interesting, hadn't thought of that option.  Thanks!  I just switched it to my right hand for now but that seems weird to me.

I've always had small fingers even when I was 80lbs heavier but lately my rings are super loose.  I don't wear my engagement ring because it can slip right off and my husband would probably KILL me if I lost it haha.  I'm going to get it sized down about a half size because it really is that loose and I'm not worried about my hand swelling over the summer.  My engagement ring is a size 5 so now I have to go down to 4.5! Tiny baby fingers lol

Depending on your ring, you might not be able to get it re-sized.  My husbands was a etched band, and those can't be resized because it would mess the etched design.   Needless to say, his new band isn't etched!

I do however, agree with getting ring guards, putting it on a different hand, or just going with out.  I plan on just buying a super cheap plain band once mine start slipping off.   (I mean like dime store super cheap too!)

oh my engagement ring is just a plain band and a solitaire diamond so I don't mind resizing it.  My wedding band has diamonds halfway around so I'm not sure about getting that resized but it's actually not that loose.  I work near the diamond district in NYC so either I will get them resized or buy ring guards too :)

I bought a pretty cheapy "replacement" ring to wear until I was at goal and could get my rings resized.  You can get some really pretty ones for $25-$50!

This is the one I picked...
