Hello VSGers! I was sleeved 2 years ago today. I am very happy I had the VSG. I used to be on this site multiple times a day for almost two years until last August. At that time I met my dream man and I have been having a wonderful time living my life ever since. Last summer, I was at goal. I didn't like the way my body looked with so much sag, so I wanted to gain a little weight back. When I was thinner it really looked like something had happened to me. I gained about 10 pounds on purpose and was very happy with my body at that weight. (about 160-164 pounds) I liked the curves and the natural look of my body at that weight. I was a size 10 and size small/medium, and bought a huge new wardrobe. (most at consignment stores and Goodwill- incredible finds!)

Well, my dream man used to be an executive chef. He is an awesome cook, and between that and going out to restaurants, I have been slowly (maybe even quickly!)  regaining. Food and eating was fun again! Plus, I stopped weighing myself, which is permission to gain for me. I am now about 25 pounds over where I want to be. I have felt out of control, and I realize that I will always be fighting the disease of obesity. Yes, I can only eat smaller amounts, but my body will gain weight easily if I don't limit carbs. Plus, I just don't have the control to do what I know to do when the Carb Monster Addiction is in control.

I know what to do. My obesity has never been an intellectual issue!  I am determined to get back on track. I will not buy a new wardrobe at size 14. Luckily my wonderful man is fully supportive of whatever I need to do.

I will be checking into this site again to hold myself accountable. I will let you know how the weight loss is going! I want to lose at least 10-15 pounds by the end of the summer, and ten more by Thanksgiving. OH was a great resource and source of support to me initially and I know it will be again.

You can do it- the first step is checking that scale frequently!
