I loved this. I think what people don't understand is all those small things in life that belittle larger people. Maybe others don't notice it, but I think subconsciously, they do. When we have to nudge the table a little bit further away when sitting down in a booth...the dreaded airline seat...putting down the desk top in one of those auditorium seats (Ha! haven't done THAT in ages)...
Once, I was on a mission trip in Africa and we were taking a TINY plane to a remote area. When we got into the plane, the belts were like those for race car drivers. And they were not forgiving. I was having the worst internal panic attack that I wouldn't fit. What would I do if I couldn't be belted into this plane with everyone else? I JUST made it. I had tears in my eyes the whole flight, whispering prayers of thanks for not having to face that humiliation.
All this is typed to say YAY!!!! That's a huge NSV. I can't wait for these (surgery Monday ).
