125.4, holding pretty even after the weekend which for sure included some crap, my calories have consistently been higher as well, around 1,800,  I'm a bit surprised the weight is holding steady!

Last choral concert of the school year tonight. Love to see my boys perform but looking forward to not having every evening booked.

Still on the cold side here. Hard to believe it is mid May and they got flurries (nothing sticking) here this past weekend. Come on Summer (or even Spring) get here already!

Happy Monday my friends. Protect what you have worked so hard for!

Good Morning !!   Frost never really developed, so I'll take the plastic back off.  I'm thinking greenhouse started plants would make more sense !!!  Why did heirloom seeds sound so healthy ?  Loving my yard !!  Have about half of the topsoil moved and seeded.  Goal is to finish moving it before plants/weeds are growing on it !!

Starting to plan a week + in Sedona after I retire.  Any suggestions ?

Wednesday is Bariatric one year follow-up.  I'll blog after that.

Sedona is magical!  Fabulous hiking through there.  And there's a great shoe store too, still remember a pair of boots I regret not buying lol.

Great blog post too. I love how you're processing and preparing to handle this challenge.

It is 5:45 in the morning and I could already use a Tide stick.  This (almost) makes me wish for my old stretchy black pants that could adapt to any variety of lumps, bumps and coffee drips.

Very stressful 3 weeks coming up at work, I am going to feel behind every minute of that time which is a huge trigger carb-snack trigger for me. I can get thru this but will have to rely on behaviors because my brain is going to be unreliable.

Have a terrific start to the day!

Shel

The black stretches were so forgiving lol. Funny how we lighten up the colour palette after weight loss!

Good morning fellow journey takers!  It is gray, cool and windy here in Central Maine, but it's supposed to get warmer and very sunny as the week goes on.  As always, I've enjoyed reading what others post, and get strength from them.

I finally got on the scale.  Not sure just how much I've lost, as I continued with unhealthy eating for a couple more days after the last time I weighed, so I'm somewhere in the 4-5 lbs loss range.  I'll take it!

Had a busy weekend.  Recital week is under way!  We were at the Opera House from 3-8:30 yesterday, back again today, tomorrow and Wednesday, then we all have Thursday off, before the deluge of dress rehearsal and performances, and all that goes with them, this weekend.  I felt much more confident on stage yesterday, though I did make a couple of silly blunders.  Better to have the blunders during practice than during the performances.  Lots of bonding going on with my two girls!  The younger one is smack in the middle of puberty, but is young for it, and there's an older girl in one of my oldest's classes who has been making fun of the littel one - pointing at and making disgust faces at her hairy armpits during pictures, and yesterday about her bushy eyebrows, both part of the puberty process.  I was so proud of the oldest, who was like a mother with her cub, and said something to this girl.  She and her friends also gathered around the younger one and lavished her with compliments, and kept her with them while they waited to go on stage.  I felt blessed and happy!

Food continues to be good.  I did have more calories over the weekend, but within a maintenence range.  Today is back to my ususal loss routine.  Cutting way back on the carbs has certainly helped with reducing the cravings.

One thing I noticed this weekend, and wonder if others have experienced it, is a warped perspective on size.  When I was in the losing phase, after surgery, when I got down to the sized pants I'm wearing now, they looked so small, coming from where I started.  Yesterday, when I was putting those same sized pants on, they looked huge.  They are not a tiny or a huge size, just normal, but where my head is at, and the fact that I'm almost 5 years out from surgery, my perspective about my size, and the size of my clothes, has changed quite a bit.  Hoping as my head gets out of the "you're so fat again" mode, my perspective will come back into some even place.

Have a great Monday!

Hugs, Mary
