Good Morning all,

Wt 220.8 no change.  Cal 1126  Got into some stress last night and cravings kicked in big time.  I had nothing in the house to fill the craving.  Worked a little extra on the airstream for therapy.  Uppers on one side done except for the doors.  Below is are pics.  I would never done this at 362 lbs.  So grateful for my sleeve.

What a great creative, therapeutic outlet !! She's looking fabulous !!! There's no feeling like that mind/body/spirit synergy !!!  You've connected to the best cravings buster ...Your own endorphins !!!

136.4 today !!!  That would explain why my leg felt like it was going to explode !  I need a pressure valve, Carbon needs a knee, many of us would like to return some skin we no longer need, an automatic sugar filter.... sounds like we need to find the Wizard !  I do seem to remember something about having the answer within us all along... think that is the direction I'll let my mind wander during today's adult coloring time!

Have a great day all !!  Go forth and produce and enjoy some endorphins.

Morning all and thank you for your well-wishes.  This is certainly a humbling experience, she said through gritted teeth.

Very nice work David both snack curbing and renovations.  Kairk, such a gift to speak another language!

Calories were 1799, ( the plums are ripe on the tree and ate way tooooooooo many ) and steps were8659, but paid for it last night.

ever onwards!!!!

Wow, I just don't see how you can get almost 9K steps on a bad knee. You are more that tough.  Gritted teeth and all.

127.2 - up a little. Broke my 2 day streak of having no junk (didn't last long!) but overall calories were not too bad and I did get in a great workout!

Steps were just over 9,000 but not an accurate representation of calories burned through exercise. I did 45 minutes on the treadmill at 4 mph with a 10% grade - the Fitbit doesn't calculate the grade on the treadmill!

Was going to go kayaking today with son #3 but the heat index is supposed to be 108, so think I will try to reschedule for Saturday and then DH said he would like to join us! I love being active with my family!

Nice work on the Airstream Dave - it looks great. How nice to have those skills. We joke in our house that we have to hire someone to hang a picture. It isn't quite that bad, but close!

Carbon, nice to see that you were able to get some steps in yesterday despite that darned knee. Sure hope you can get in for an appt. to have it looked at!

Ocean Diane - weight and swelling going down - yay!

I will leave you all with a quote that was on our web news page at work yesterday. I liked it and hope you will too!

"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly." ~ Buddha

Good morning most excellent family (channeling Bill and Ted). I'm still at my well deserved 115 but my food has been better. And my scale is still my best friend. It is completely honest and reliable. It's helped me realize that I've become careless this past while. My sleeve is worthy of much better treatment. It's a helpmate that most obese people can only dream of having, and it's deserving of gratitude and care as I approach its fourth birthday.

Off on the three hour trip to Calgary/Turner Valley on the bike to get it serviced, with Rob following in the truck!  I've read but no time to respond, other than to wish all of you peace and health today.

Good morning, everyone!

I impressed by all of you.  Such exceptional peeps you are!  David, amazing carpentry work!  Such a gift.  DH is also an impressive woodworker and I have witnessed how much time, thought, care and fretting goes into it.

Devon, interesting about dropping your weighing to once a day,  One of my mantras has been that I am going to do weight loss different this time.  I wasn't sure what that meant (still don't) but joining this forum is one of them.  I was very much a non-forum person.  I wonder if just a change in long standing routine is just as important as the benefit from the specific change.

I would like your nutritional counselor to do group Skype sessions :)

I feel improvements everyday tho I can also feel that my pain pump is empty, I think.  Swelling is beginning to go down, draining is less.  I did take my compression garment off yesterday in hopes of bowel relief....no such luck, I am afraid.  But, I did get to see some of the surgeon's work.  Front side appears flat, even with swelling.  The swelling on the hind side makes it look weird for lack of a better term tho I can see positive differences, I think. The best news is that I can get the compression garment back on by myself tho it is very tiring to do so.

I had a panniculectomy, abdominoplasty and flank lift.  (Let me say that both my spelling and typing skills are particularly low on pain meds.) There might have been a fourth thing, but I can't remember.  My surgeon said it is commonly known as lower body lift.  It was one 360 degree incision.  Surgery time was about 4 hours.

As she was marking me up, she said that she couldn't pull up the hind side up enough to totally get rid of the skin that settled below my bum "without causing deformity." (I am all for avoiding deformity!)  That would need to come off with a separate thigh procedure

She generally doesn't recommend thigh procedure at the same time as LBL because frequently patients find that the LBL is enough or they can get by with a a lesser thigh procedure than would have been planned initially.

Have a great day, all! Shel

Qotd. What series should I binge watch? I watch almost no tv but did watch all of breaking bad when on medical leave for VSG.  I have seen a few seasons of d abbey.  But, that's it.

I've heard d abbey is really good. My DH like Madmen, we both loved breaking bad but you've seen that. I would avoid Orange is the New Black - son #1 was watching it and it was filthy - and I am so not a prude!

Good to know about orange is the new black....DD will likely end up watching something with me.  I did like Madmen for a few seasons so I could pick that back up
