Flying by........

I know today is going going to be better than yesterday because I double checked to make sure undies aren't on backwards. Protip: don't exercise with undies on backward.

What a great spring awakening....flowers (thx Liz!), spring break trips and babies. Let's not forget friends, too.

Have a terrific day!

Shel

I'm most intrigued by how the faulty undie-positioning wasn't discovered immediately upon donning!

Do thong undies ever feel perfectly comfortable? I think not. Or, at least not for me.

I didn't realize it something unusual was happening til class already started.

The thong was the key. I wear grannies and you'd definitely notice with grannies!

Once you are done with LBL, you must have some big girl undies. Comfortable ones. I swear you will feel spectacular. Maybe not as a great as a new bra that fits but darned close.

No need for thongs. My DD swears they are necessary with exercise tights/yoga pants which is why I ended up with them.

So much going on with the group and personally.

Eating variation is better than it has been in years but not the best choices. On one hand I am thinking it is not nuts and yogurt and on the other hand it is not much better as far as calories. The thought of eating meat remains repulsive but I did eat a fried chicken strip yesterday.

DW 2 weeks post op spiked a fever. White count elevated. I had taken tools to the house to start putting it back together and to take my Mom to the retina specialist. But needed to turn right around and return to the woods to keep up my nursing skills with DW. She also had 2 tick bites from a hike in the woods. Doc said it was too early for that to be symptomatic. But gave antibiotics to cover both possibilities. DW is improved so I should head back today or tomorrow.

Neurosurgeon consult was positive overall. He said I really do not have symptoms yet of what is showing on MRI but I will soon. He says he can help it. Or prevent permanent damage. Not fix it completely but help it. I have a follow up appointment in 1 month to give me time to think about it. He wants me to stop all pain control to see what symptoms are present. I want to maintain pain control to finish the house and then have 2 surgeries to possibly correct the problem areas. It should take about a month to finish the house.

Seems my unrelenting mood from hell was at least partly due to vyvanse. I am off of it for now. Mood much improved.

Babies are doing well once we figured out the milk allergy. Even breast milk. Now they both are on a 40 dollar a can of formula. I will see the one that I do not see very often this week end. Rocking is in order.

More later, David

Weight-unknown. Not sure when I'm going to weigh. I actually almost got on the scale yesterday, but jumped off before it could register. I'm verrrry curious. And I want to believe I can do it for just "scientific purposes". But I also don't want to get deterred. My gosh, I just gave birth 4.5 days ago! I'm thinking I'll probably bite the bullet at 2 weeks...but possibly 1.

I will say I feel really good about my tummy tuck. I definitely don't have excess skin. I do look larger on the lower part of my belly and not sure if some of that is swelling from ivs, etc., some could be everything still shrinking back down, or some could be some extra weight that's just going to take time.

My biggest issue is what to wear? I don't really want to wear maternity clothes. And my stomach is small enough that I don't really think most of them will fit. However, pre-pregnancy jeans are a no go for now.

Anyway, that's just the weight side of things.

We have our days and nights backwards. And feeding is a big struggle. But she's 100% wonderful. I'll add photos but it's hard to upload on here. I'll figure that out later today.

Feeding is often a struggle in the beginning, but it will work itself out pretty quickly (barring allergies).

With nights/days reversed just wear what's comfortable and nap when you can. Night feedings have to be all business and try to do the cute baby stay awake stuff in the daytime as much as possible. Again, it will all work out fairly quickly.

Thanks for the update!
