Hitting a turning point

Jul 03, 2011

I'm kind of glad that I'm finally feeling better before I hit a month post-op. I didn't want to wait too much longer.

The pain is about 20% now - and whatever pain I have is not too bad. I don't need pain meds any more which is good. I have started walking again which has REALLY improved my mood. It feels good to put my shoes on and hit the treadmill. Now, I can't walk very fast because it hurts my incisions and is generally uncomfortable, but I can do it. I managed to walk almost 2 miles today. Can't wait to start doing more.

I feel like a bottomless pit - have not had any problems eating, nothing causes me any problems. I'm generally eating about 1/2 cup per meal.

Tonight I had my best dinner in 3 weeks -

1/4 cup FF refried beans
1 oz shredded chicken
1 tsp greek yogurt
2 tbsp salsa
