2 days before surgery! Prayer Request!! :D

This is a good day to pray against complications, because at my appointment today they will be reading off to me EVERY single possible complication from this surgery. I've been through this appointment once before, so I know exactly what to expect but the action of sitting there while they make sure you understand every possibility is a little disheartening. Anyhow, the most common complication after this surgery is a blood clot. To prevent blood clots, I will be using a 14 day treatment of a drug called Lovenox, which is a blood thinner. I've also changed some of my other medications to further reduce risk of blood clot. Some other complications I really want to pray against are wound infection/separation, peritonitis, and obstruction/stricture.

All of these complications happen very rarely in this surgery, but I like to cover my bases... Peritonitis is an especially miserable complication because it requires another surgery to correct. Obstruction/Stricture is a risk I will carry for the rest of my life, and something I'll always be watching for the signs of.

Please pray that I would have no complications, or that any complications I do have will be minor.
