Day 1

Well I am at the end of my first day on my pre-op diet.  I was feeling pretty good most of the day but around 5-6 pm I thought I was going to knaw my arm off and started getting really hungery.  I got some kool-aid (sugar free of course) and that helped to sustain some of the hunger pains.  The chicken, green beans and beets were the most delicious food I think I have ever eaten.  My husband Stevie doesn't know it but my being on this journey will also benefit him from my change of cooking styles.  Prior to baking the chicken, all of the skin was ripped off and the best part was he didn't even notice it wasn't on there until I told him.

I find myself in the bathroom more than usual today and as I was concerned I would do, I find myself stepping on the scale on every trip.  I do NOT want to become obsessed with it and need to remember that weight loss is more than about pound.  It's about inches, smaller clothes, fitting behind the wheel of my car, feeling better when making love to my husband and many more things to numerous to mention. 

I still have one protein shake to drink prior to going to bed and then a long day of work ahead of me tomorrow.  Will write more hopefully tomorrow.
