Surgeon Testimonial

Richard Wilson, M.D.
My first impression is that he is knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The staff has been really helpful. Motti (sp) has returned my calls and been very helpful in getting all my dates scheduled.

My name is Christa and, like everyone else here, I am trying to live a healthier (skinnier) life:) I am happily married to a wonderful and supportive man. We have the most amazing little boy together. He truley is the light of my life and one of the biggest reason for me to chose to do the WLS. I want to be able to be a part of his life and not have to stand on the side lines!

So, Tomorrow is my pre-op appointment. I am very excited to get this over with. All the stress of the "what if's" in the back of my mind are driving me crazy!! I am hoping that once I am post-op a lot of my fears will subside. I think the biggest fear for me is that I wonlt wake up. Just thinking about saying good bye to my son the morning of makes me all teary eyed. I know that in the long run this will be good for me and my family. I am just scared...I talk to my husband about it and he says all the right things..."You'll be fine" and "the people with complications usually have some sort of co-morbitites". I just pray that he is right. I NEED for him to be right.

Ive got it!!! My surgery date is October 12th, 2010! I am super excited and super terrified at the same time. I know this is going to be great for me. Its just a little scary when they talk about the mortality rates. I just want to get it over with and be okay:)

Its been a journey to get here with all the hoops you have to go through for insurances and the surgeons have their own set of pre-reqs too. B/C my BMI is over 40, I only had to do a 6 month program. If it had been under I would have had to do the program for 2 years! The program is a diet and excercise sched. set up my your doctor and a nutritionalist. I had to write down everything I ate for 6 months along with all the excercise I did. Then I had to go show it to them and get it checked off that I was doing it every month. 2 years would have been so long to wait!

Now that it is only 3 1/2 weeks away I am starting to get all the nervous jitters....Hopefully time will pass quickly. I just need to keep busy.....
