So my very active babies are off to bed thank goodness.  I love being a stay at home mom but really when you're fighting a nasty cold that came out of nowhere ugh.....
Hubby was able to leave work early and let me have a nap for a bit he took the girls out to run errands.  I have nothing to complain about in the hubby department!!!  Or kids my girls who are almost 4 and almost 6 are so amazing I am really blessed. 
They are the reason this surgery is so important to me I want to be around for many years yet.  I have cheated death twice and was reminded by my sister that I'm not a cat and don't have 9 lives. 
June 9th 1999 ~ While working at my summer job at the Elora Gorge Conservation area.  So happy that on such a hot day I got to go home and change into shorts and sneekers to walk down and look for a deer that had apparently fallen over the gorge.  I needed to locate this deer.  2 hours in I was wet and tired called my supervisor to get me out and was told that because of where I was I had only two choices cross the river or climb out where I was.  Well at 21yrs I was invincible or at least I thought so.  The men who were kyaking right at that spot said there was no way I could cross safely but that they would spot me to get out.  From what I've been told I made it just about to the top when I lost my footing and fell 40 feet to the bottom landing face down in about 8 feet of water.  Thank god for those men that day they grew angel wings and saved my life.  I broke my back in 2 places and had other cuts and bruises and a long recovery but here I am.
August 24 2008 ~ while driving to my nephew's birthday party with my girls in the van with me on a country road outside of St.Jacobs.  I blacked out behind the wheel.  When I came to we were headed straight into a post I over corrected to avoid the pole and completely lost control of my van.  We crossed the highway spun right around hitting the ditch on the other side which caused us to catch air and flip several times.  The van finally rested on it's roof in a farmers field.  I had no idea what had happened or even where we were.  I was able to find my cell phone and call my hubby at work then some other motorists stoped to help my girls and I.  The bravery people show in such horrific situations astonishes me.  This young guy reached in covered my oldest with a floor mat and smashed out the window then climbed in the free my children and finally me.  Thank god we only had minor injuries we went to hospital to be examined and were release but not before I was charged with careless driving.  Due to the circumstances I plead guilty to a lesser charge of leaving the road in an unsafe manner with a minimal penalty.
And there are people who say angels don't exist.
So now here I am living each day to it's fullest knowing that this surgery will only make me stronger and better able to live the life I need to.
Wow did I ever go on a rant tonight!
Hubby's got a spot for my on the couch and a hot tea!  Hopefully I'll wake up feeling better tomorrow.
