I went to see Dr. Vigg today. He had to write up the order for all the pre-op tests I have to have done, and I had to have a cortisone shot in my left knee.My last cortisone shot (in my right knee) didn’t hurt that badly, but this one HURT!!! The bruise is where the needle went in. He had to go in twice.
I, then, had to go to have chest X-rays done.
After that, I had an EKG.
I need a shit ton of lab work done but I’d eaten breakfast this morning so I have to go have it done tomorrow.
After my lab work is done, I’ll need an upper GI and clearance from a heart doctor. They’re making those appointments and they’ll be mailed to me.
They also weighed me and I’m down another 2 pounds.
I left there and picked up my prescription that the dermatologist sent over.
I went home and crammed a sandwich down my throat before running up to the hospital to see my dietitian Alanna for the LAST TIME! She sent me home with a booklet on my surgery and how my diet will change over the next few months up until 2 years after my surgery.
I can’t believe it’s so close now! It seems like the time has just FLOWN by!
