Moving right along…

I got a call this morning from Dr. Chapman’s office. He’s my weight loss surgeon btw. The representative (Kesha) said she received the notes from my last visit with Alanna (my dietitian). Apparently, instead of 5 visits with Alanna, I have to have 7.

While on the phone with Kesha, I asked her if she’d received the faxes about my blood work, chest X-ray and EKG. She said she hasn’t and suggested I call Dr. Vigg’s office to find out what the hold up is.

After I hung up with Kesha, I called Alanna and scheduled an appointment with her on September 13th.

I hung up with Alanna and called Dr. Vigg’s office. The receptionist transferred me to Dr. Vigg’s nurse’s voice mail. I left a message and am still waiting for her to ring me back.

When the mail came, I had my appointments for my upper GI and my heart clearance. My upper GI is schedule for Friday (the 24th) at 8:30AM. My heart clearance is scheduled for Monday (the 27th) at noon.

After all that information (including the psych eval on September 5th, but minus Alanna’s notes) makes its way to Dr. Chapman’s office, Kesha will ring me back and set up my next appointment to see Dr. Chapman. At that appointment, we SHOULD be setting up the surgery dates. Surgery 1 being where they put the filter in my femoral artery, and surgery 2 being my actual weight loss surgery.

It would be simply amazing if my weight loss surgery date will be between the end of October and the middle of November, but I don’t want to get my hopes up.
