Well I'm 11 days out....
on January 15, 2012 7:50 pm
The first week was very trying, and I was craving everything under the sun, I was in pain and my mind was playing tricks on me but I made it. Thank You Jesus!  Now I feel good, I went to a Bridal Shower yesterday and didn't have a problem drinking cystal light and watching others eat amazingly. From the time I started the bariatric clinic until today I've lost 30 pounds and I feel so good. I actually put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn in 2 years, how about that. Too Excited!!!!

My Story

My name is Tina and I am a full time accounting student and single mother of two. I have been overweight my entire adult life, however I've never really noticed the weight. It wasn't until I gave birth to my second child and I weighed in at 302lbs that it being to dawn on me that I was FAT. After giving birth to my bouncing baby boy, I lost 15lbs but that was all.Today that bouncing baby boy is now 5 years old and I'm still carrying around 285lbs. I gave my life to Christ 3 years ago and  been masking behind my Christianity and pretended that I happy with myself when really I not. You see its easy for one to put up a front. I think that it takes a lot of courage to face your problems head on, and I have finally got some courage. I was recently diagnosed with hypertension, pre-diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea and that was that was last straw. I have decided to fight back and I'm ready to get to the new and real me. I am happy with were my life is at this point in my life but I am however, not happy with my body I feel like a prisoner trapped in a body that doesn't belong to me. The bible said there is liberty in Jesus, I shouldn't have to feel bound any longer. I am a firm believer that God made the doctors and the medicine and if he has given us the means to do better for ourselves than there is no excuse to settle. I am doing this for me I want to be healthy and happy. I will live and not die, I speak life over my health in the name of Jesus!
