Surgeon Testimonial

Keith Kim, M.D.
Dr Kim is the first Dr/ Surgeon that I have EVER been to that doesnt make me feel like he is in a rush to get to the next patient. He actually came in the room and sat down like he had all day to spend with me. He gave me the same feeling in the hospital, both prior to surgery as well as the day after when he came in to check on me / discharge me (per my request since I was doing so well medically). He EVEN had the courtesy to use a pillow to cover my panties when I lifted my dress so he could check my incisions. This is surprising to me as a) I did have panties on, b) was in my hospital room and c) was only him, nurse, my husband and me in this room. He actually CARES!!! I feel like I have a "daddy" type watching over me .. meaning I am safe and secure in his care! Cant ask for more.

smoking test????
posted on 12/27/11 1:57 am
Ok - now I am beyond nervous.  my surgeon has recently changed his requirement to 3 months prior to surgery you must quit smoking - ok done.. problem is that I have alot of family members (and it is the holidays where family all are around) that smoke.  Some comments on tests I have found are saying that they will basically show "positive" for smoking even if you have just been AROUND someone that smokes,.,  So now I am worried my surgery is going to be cancelled.  I also found out that they actually test 2 weeks ish prior to surgery date - so that changes things to 3 1/2 months minimum to quit - which I may be just in the line.. does anyone know what tests are used and their time frame.  I am using Dr.  Kfir Ben-David  - so if anyone also had him - I would so appreciate a message telling me what test he uses..
Thank you all so much.
Liz
