I slept fairly well last night, but I'm seriously parched.  I guess that is the least of my worries for today :)

I know my son is worried about me going in today, but I hope to put his fears at rest.  We will talk before I take him to school and I hope that that helps him.  My husband will bring the kids to see me after I am out of recovery and before I am transportted to the overnight recovery facility.

My husband I think is just as nervous about taking care of the kids as he is about my surgery.  He's not a terribly emotional or expressive person.  He's said of course that he is concerned, but I cannot say that he is really worried.

As for me, in my mind this is no different from other surgeries I've had in the past.  The anesthsiologist (sp?) called me last night to go over things as did my surgeon.  Those calls really helped me and I'm just waiting to go!
