4 Month Surgiversary
Jun 22, 2012
It is so hard to believe that 4 months ago today I had my RNY surgery. Yesterday I had my 4 month check up with Dr Hanna and all is well. The best news is my lab work shows that I am no longer diabetic with my A1C at 5.3, borderline diabetic starts at the range of 5.7 so I am not even close!!!! WooHOO!!! As of this morning I am down 92 pounds from my starting weight at consultation on 11/16/11.I had a great meeting with my Nutrionist Joey and talked in detail about my stall/plateau and her words made me feel much more content with the situation. She had a couple of great ideas about slowing down my eating habit/routine and I will be trying them out. One of my issues is still eating to fast and then getting the tightness in my pouch.
I had a goal in my head to be 100 pounds down by my appt, but I wasn't there. This stall with losing 6 pounds for the month was so aggravating but hopefully it will soon pass. I am more content now from seeing Dr Hanna and Joey and being reassured that the loss will start again. Like Joey said "goals are great, just do NOT put a timeline/deadline to them. That is the way to stress out and prohibit the weight loss"....great advice.
Off diabeties medication and 1 blood pressure pill...not too shabby for only being 4 months out. This isn't an easy road or way to lose weight, but it is well worth every effort!!!
