Day 9 post-op

Sep 02, 2010

I just wanted to write to you all and thank you for your support and listening to me whine when I wasnt doing so good.  Im the one who posted that I was home from being sleeved and not doing good.  I had severe buyers remorse, crying, and felt horrible.  Well, like everyone here keeps saying, what a difference a day makes.  about day 5, I suddenly started feeling great!  I could swallow easier, I had zero pain, I felt like my old self, and frankly, I dont feel like I had surgery at all any more, except for the way my diet is.
Today, after my shower, I put on a housecoat/nightie that I used to wear all the time, but was a bit tight on me across the tummy.  Today, it is hanging off of me!! so much room to spare!  Im in utter shock.    Granted, I am a heavy weight and have alot to lose, but so far, this first 26-7 lbs feels like 100 to me!!!! I feel positively skinny!!  Im kinda like a deflated balloon, but the deflation part is tremendous to me!! My belly has gone way down, my neck is not so much like a bull frog now.   If I feel this good at this small of a loss, imagine how I will feel when I lose the big numbers!
Im just so happy, so excited.  I had to tell you all.   I have not lost weight in years!!   It feels FREAKIN FANTASTIC!!!   like you all said and I found it hard to believe at first......"I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!"

Thank you all for letting me share my first big moment with you.  Im 9 days out.   Im sure there will be many more, but this one was huge to me.
Any newbies hesitating about surgery------don't!!!!   Just do it!!! you wont regret it.
