Helen, thanks for the posting and the words of comfort to my page. I too have Aetna POS and had very little problems with them. The only thing they came back to me wanting was proof of dieting for the past 2 years. Within a half an hour of their request and MANY pestering phone calls (from me to them) <and I mean I called them like 2 times a week EVERY week until I was approved!!!>. Not many of your doctors out there will tell you what you need, but I made sure I had all my recent info (medical wise) with me on my initial visit to my doctor. I only needed a few other things for my 2nd session (pre-op) but had that all in line when I went back....along with that information I needed approval from Aetna. Like I said earlier....keep pushing them, MAKE them tell you what they need from you and if you have Aetna, they have a website www.aetna.com and you can find out what they expect from you and what they will pay for. If you need any more help just let me know and I'll be more than happy to help get you through this process! Best wishes to you on your journey!

I KNOW I AM A MAJOR PAIN IN THE BUTT BUT IF THEY DID THAT TO ME, I WOULD HAVE THE DOCTOR PROVIDE ME WITH COPIES AND I WOULD OVERNIGHT THEM AND MAKE THEM SIGN FOR IT. THAT WAY YOU WOULD NOT ONLY KNOW THEY GOT THEM, BUT WHO GOT THEM. I'M SURE THINGS WILL WORK OUT FOR YOU, BUT THAT IS SO FRUSTRATING! GOOD LUCK. PAM GERMAN
