HI MICHAEL!!! I wish you good luck on your upcoming surgery. I had my open rny in Oct 2001 and have lost 195 lbs so far. I am 6' 8" tall and started at 450 lbs. I had a real easy time with recovery, no problems at all. Hope you have an easy time too. I am diabetic, have high blood pressure, sleep apnea (on a CPAP machine too). After the surgery I no longer take meds for dibetes, take one tiny dose for my high blood pressure and the cpap is history too!!!!!!!! I feel so much better and I know you will too. Let me tell you a secret but you have to promise that you won't tell any of the women out there about this. MEN LOSE FASTER THAN WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! Our metabolism rate is much faster and it make all the gals sooooo mad!! So don't tell!!!!! Good luck to you and hope you have a problem free recovery. Please update your progress.

Mike! I am so happy to be your angel! When I saw our wonderful Dr. McConnell today he was just tickled that we all are such a close group of patients! I 'll bet it was exciting for you to have your pre-op stuff done today! It is less than 3 weeks! How cool is that???? Your date will be here before you know it! I am so excited for you! I will spinkle some angel dust for you! Big Hugs! ^i^
