Happy ONE Year Anniversary. I hope that this post finds you healthy and happy. Sounds like you've done great. Thank you for updating your profile so that others can follow your progress. You never know who you might inspire. Have a great day!
Karon- I had no idea of your story. I am glad that you are doing better. Your words are wise and I hope anyone who reads your posting that hasn't had the surgery takes them seriously. There are many "happy" stories out there, but there can be a harsh reality to this too. We have had a few in our group who have also had complications. I hope to meet you soon at our meetings. In the meantime, keep posting. I am definately going to keep up with your progress.

Hi Karen. Good luck on your surgery. I am also in Austin and will be having my surgery in Houston on July 9th. Maybe we can get together when you are feeling up to it. God Bless. Mary E
Karen, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine six months ago, and I have never had a single regret. Fortunately, the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
