surgery tomorrow!!

Well, It is Sunday afternoon, around 330 and I am as ready as I can be. Throughout these last few days on occassion I have asked myself if I am out of my freaking mind to do this? And then I remind myself that yes I am and it will help me in many ways. I will have a great tool to help me on my quest for better health by reducing my need for rx meds for gerd and cholesterol. I will be able to move easily and be more active(I can't wait) After all I am going to be 56 next Saturday and there is no time like the present. I am sick of this weight dragging me down. I love to travel and our last trip to Spain was great but I did find it hard. It was very hilly and many many stairs. And of course the airplane seats!On top of that nobody in Spain was overweight!
My preop instructions are very easy. Just eat lightly and no food/drink after 1200. In the morning I will shower and brush teeth and take the 2 meds the anestheiologist told me to take. Then off to YALE New Haven. It is about 1 hour 15 minutes away and I need to be there at 9:20. I guess my surgery time is around 11.
I warned hubby that in the time right after the surgery I may ask him why he let me do this. I told him its kind of like transition in labor when I yelled at him not to touch me!! I won't really mean it be will be out of my mind then. lol
I will blog as soon as I am able, but am not taking laptop to hospital.
