Wow! How wonderful life has been. In 2006 I reached my lowest weight of 150 lbs and became pregnant with twins via in vitro fertilization. All those years I thought I had a fertility problem due to my weight. It turned out even when I lost the weight I still couldn't get pregnant. Fertility tests revealed my hubby had a very low sperm count and in vitro was our only option for us to be parents to our own children. I believe that even had I known the fertility issue was on my husband's side the fertility clinic would probably have turned me away because I was so heavy. Carrying twins would have been extremely hard. As it was I had an easy amazing pregnancy and feel so blessed. On Feb. 9, 2007 I delivered twin boys who are rapidly approaching their 1st birthday. They were born full term and healthy each weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz. And I pretty much had to eat and drink water constantly to get them to their healthy birth weight. I can chase after them (they crawl fast!) and stoop over to pick them up with no problem. And I never take this for granted. I did gain back some weight with my pregnancy. I'm back to 172 but feeling well and don't regret the added 20 lbs or so to have my babies in my life. In many ways I really went through this amazing journey just to bring them into the world.
