Thanks for checking out my profile. I am a 39 year old mom of 3 boys, ages 7, 7 and 5, married to the love of my life for 9 years. My life in an all-male household is crazy, loud and stinky!
I've been what I considered overweight most of my life. When I look back though, I would love to again be what I thought was unacceptable back then! My real weight issues started when I got pregnant with twins. Despite my efforts, I couldn't take the baby weight off after they were born. That's when my doctor discovered I was hypo-thyroid. She put me on medication and I finally began losing my baby weight. Then when I was down to only 23 lbs to go, I found myself pregnant AGAIN and up went the weight.
Since then it has been a losing battle of up and down dieting. I'm not one of those who loses weight easily. I have to fight for each and every pound. I can make it as far as about 20 lbs and then I give up. It's too hard, it takes too long and I'm too hungry. I feel the VSG is my last chance and pray I've made the right decision.
