Barb. Thanks for your e-mail response. We were getting worried about what had happened to you. I'm glad things went well for you as well. There was some confusion with the Dr.s office about the follow up appt., so Micki wont get her drain and staples out untill Monday. What a drag for her. The staples irritate her, and the drain is uncomfortable, but other than that everything is going along just fine. She is visably losing weight, but no clue as to the actual pounds being shed. Our scale is questionable at best. We tried her on one scrambled egg the other day, and some instant grits (yech), but those didn't seem to sit well. Lat night she tried some refried beans with a little salsa on a few tortilla chips with cheese on top. That tasted very good to her and didn't seem to bother her at all. At last REAL FOOD. A friend of ours got her a couple of cans of protien shakes at a health food store. Unfortunately they have a nasty texture and flavor, so I guess we'll just save those for back up and keep trying to find things that she likes. She also gave us a smoothie machine, which seems to work well, but the blender does OK too, so don't waste the money if you all ready have a blender. Our best to all the Posties out there. Hope your journey is a smooth one.
