forgot to mention, I am now at -55 lbs!  I'm only 23 lbs. from my first goal, and 31 lbs from my ultimate goal!  I've lost a small child....not putting it on any milk cartons though....

It's so odd, I went shopping after Christmas, and found it was such a struggle to reach for the smaller sizes.  It really is an adjustment to realize that the sizes I was comfortable with just don't fit anymore.  I guess that we get so used to wearing things with elastic in the waist, and roomy legs that it seems like overnight you realize that it's like wearing a tent!  I struggle with that ever present stomach, and now that I have a treadmill and am able to get consistent exercise, it's finaly starting to change too!  Where my pants would drop when they went down beyond my stomach, and have had plenty of room in the legs for some time, I find that I'm ready to drop a size in the pants again.  I'm sure some of you can identify.  It just seems so odd, doesn't it?  Shoe shopping is another thing altogether!  Who knew I was going to lose so much in my feet?  I went from a size 10 wide to a 9M, and still find that some of my shoes flop off before I realize that I need to pitch them!  Well, anyway....just rambling here, but it's cool, right?

Well, today I hit a milestone!!!!!  I am now -50 lbs, and couldn't be happier!!!!!  WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Well, since my last fill, I have been on the move again.  It's still slow moving, but it's moving!!!  I'm down 48 lbs. total now, and after not moving for so long, I can't tell you how great it feels.  I'm going to be down 50 lbs. by thanksgiving...that's my goal!  I'll update again soon!

I've dropped 4 lbs since my fill, and I couldn't be happier!   WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!

the scale is moving again!  I had a fill yesterday, and have lost another lb. after what seems like forever at a stand-still!

Well, I had my second fill on Monday,after having to reschedule a couple of times.  My husband was back in the hospital, and stress was wrecking my weightloss!  I've said it before, and I will say it again...never underestimate the power of stress when it comes to weightloss!  Anyway, the stars have aligned, and I'm back on track!  I've lost another 2 pounds, after feeling like the plateau was gonna get me.  I'm currently down 43 pounds altogether, and couldn't be happier.  I finally know what it means to be FULL, and I can put a measurement on it too!  What a horrible,fantastic,crazy feeling it is to know that the tummy has maxed out, and you are at your limit!!!  I'm looking forward to having to buy new clothes again, but will try to alter my first round of new clothes first.  Just can't wait to update my photos once I hit the -50 mark!!!  Almost there!  Wish me luck!

For some reason, I let it get to me when Bypassers talk about how we bandsters lose at a slower rate, but I'm happy to say I'm losing at a slower rate.  For me it works!  I may have only lost 38 lbs., and am 2 months out from surgery (today!!), but I have no sagging skin (that I didn't already have), and feel great.  ONLY 38 LBS...did I just type that?  Anyway, surely you see my point, right?  Much better that the losses I've had before having the lap-band surgery.  That's right, I wasn't able to lose before, only gain!  So, I'm incredibly happy with my numbers, and will continue to be.  To me, it's amazing!

So I had my first fill yesterday, and it wasn't so bad.  I only felt a tiny pinch, then it was fine.  I was amazed that I could feel full after drinking a couple sips of iced tea!  So far so good though...had full liquids today, and the chicken broth wasn't so bad last night.  I feel much better since the hunger that had crept back in is gone again!

Ok, so it's not huge by any means but it's pretty darned big for me at his point....finally I have lost another lb.!!!!  After not seeing any change in the scales for some time, I have finally moved that needle!  Amazingly enough, as we fall into a routine with dialysis for my husband, and the stress lessens a bit, I see results.  First fill on Monday...can't wait!  -34 lbs. now.  Woohoo, I think I'm floating!
