Down down down

Feb 06, 2013

So I'm just past the 6 month mark and I've lost 130lbs as of today.  Not bad at all really. I've been doing well and slipped a little in the form of getting lazy and eating things that were less than optimal but I got back on track and spent a weekend making up enough food for 2 months and freezing it. This way I have no excuse for not eating the good stuff. I added a few carbs in the form of fruits and some veggies in my meals and I feel a lot better now.

Some things that I have accomplished.

5 inches between me and the steering wheel of my car.

Able to climb the stairs (6 flights) at the transit center and not pass out or feel massive pain in my knees.

Started the elliptical (it's evil but I can do it for 30 min without crying).

Able to get up off the floor without a crane or other people helping me.

Able to get down on the floor without worrying if I can get back up by myself.

This is a big one up there because it means I can now get down on the floor with my dogs and really play with them. We ALL enjoy a good tussle and I'm glad I can spend time with them at their level.

I fit in a size 26 stretchy jeans but still in a size 28 non stretchy jeans. I'm ok with that. for now.

My sister is pregnant with the first baby in the family. Logan is my soon to be nephew's name.  I'm not crazy about babies or kids but I am happy for my sister. I'm surprising her this month by flying in for the weekend for one of her baby showers. I told her I couldn't make it because I had to work but my other sister and I are going to sneak in and surprise her. I also want to lose another 14 lbs before then because I'm hoping it means I won't need a seat belt extender. Oh well if it happens it happens. If not I will deal.   I seem to be losing at least 1lb a week but I really wish I was losing more. I guess it's better than stalling out for weeks at a time.  I've been busy with work so I haven't been able to get to the gym as many times as I have wanted. I really need to get that kicked up and do more strength training. I just really hate my gym but it is a cheap one so I can't complain too much.

Still heading down so I'm all good. :-)
