Today is my one month anniversary!!
I can't beleive it's been a month already. I've lost 35 lbs.now!!!!!!!!!! I have already had to check out my closet for smaller clothes. That is such a cool feeling.
I measured before surgery and measured again today.I have lost alot of inches!! I've lost a total of 26 3/4 inches!!!!!!! In my waist I've lost 6",Hips 4",thighs 4",bust 2". And a little more from everywhere that I could measure!!
I am drinking Pure Pro shakes from GNC. They have 35 g's of protein.They are pretty good. I am still having trouble with solid food. I am trying not to talk while I eat. That is hard to do!! The chest pain and the back pain is horrible. I'd rather not eat than have that pain! Everything seems to get stuck and I wind up barfing.

I had my follow up visit today. I've lost 30lbs.!! My iron is really low and a few other things were low. I have to change my vitamins and have more bloodwork done soon. Other than that,all seems fine. Dr.Freeman seems to think that my problems keeping food down will get better soon. I hope so. That chest pain is no fun!!! Everything that I've been told about your cravings for food going away is true for me. I have NO cravings. Watching my family eat doesn't bother me. The "Happy Meals", Easter candy, even my friend eating M&M's doesn't bother me. It's so funny how things just change!

Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks post-op. Time really does fly. I have lost 27 pounds now!!!!
My husband is home from the hospital now, but on bed rest. This has not been an easy time.
I tried on alot of my clothes today, I can see a big difference already. I am so glad I had this surgery!!
I had my blood work done yesterday.They took 4 vials of blood. I go next Tuesday for my 4 week check up. I'll update more then.

I am 2wks. post-op now and it's been a tough week !!
I tired really fast at work. By about 10:00 my back was killing me. I couldn't seem to get relief !! I would sit for awhile,then try to stand! My husband was put in the hospital on the 2nd and it's been very hard to deal with everything by myself.

I feel so much better today!I've lost 20 lbs.now. I will go back to work tomorrow,so I'm trying to take it easy today.I will drive for the first time today to pick up the children from school. Today was their first day back from Spring Break. I've used this day to catch up on this profile page.
I am still on soft foods. It's hard to figure out what to eat. I am not hungry though. I can't handle the baby food meat. I'll try a veggie tonight. Baby food that is. The fruits are good and I seem to handle them okay. :)

Tuesday Well, I made it to the other side!! I am now a loser! I'll update all the details later. I am tired. I've already lost 8.5 lbs.!!!

Everything is okay. My surgery is still on for TOMORROW !!!!!!!! I can't beleive it. Soon I will be skinny again!!!!I'll update again after surgery. I have alot of things left to be done. We have to leave home at 4:45 AM to head to Anniston. I have to be there by 7AM. I am third in line for surgery-11AM. See you on the other side!!!

Today was horrible. I am so glad to be at home...I went to the hospital in Anniston today for my P.A.T's. I went alone,I figured it was no big deal. I should have taken someone with me. They did a urine sample,took 5 vials of blood,did a chest x-ray,and then an EKG. The EKG tech. asked if I'd ever been told that I had any heart problems,I told her no. The EKG results were abnormal. She asked me again if I'd ever been told that I had any heart troubles? I told her no, but that I was about to !!!!! They said that I would have to see a Cardiologist. Right then!!! Here I was,in Anniston,2 hours from home,ALONE!! And being told this... They were worried to see that my BP was rising. Gee, I wonder why it is!!!!!! After having to do a treadmill stress test and an ECG,I was cleared for surgery!!! I was ready to go home.The Cardiologist told me that the EKG showed ISCEMIA,which could be caused from ALL the Redux/Phen-Fen/Pondimin that I took. Hopefully nothing will ever really become of it. Whew!! I CAN HAVE MY SURGERY...
The next day after school I decided that I should call the Dr.'s office to check on the other tests. I didn't think they would have the results,but since it was Friday I didn't want to wait all weekend for an answer. The nurse told me that I would have to have a Cat-Scan done because my chest x-ray showed abnormalities. I thought I would die right then!! I was only days away from my surgery and something else was going on. I scheduled the CT for Monday. I still had to wait and panic all weekend!!!
