A sense of unreality...
Feb 24, 2010
I'm sitting here, wearing a pair of size 6 jeans as if it's nothing at all important or different. This same time last year, I weighed 248 pounds (and creeping upwards). Yesterday, I weighed 170. This is so unreal! I imagine it will be for some time to come. I wonder what size I'm going to wind up with, once I'm done?
Sometimes, I have this crazy notion that the woman whose body I have commandeered/hijacked/absconded with will come looking for it and want it back. I am discovering these crazy things my body seems to have: ribs, hips, pelvic bones, collarbones and other, mysterious subcutaneous structures. Amazing!
Still, I'm on the program and continuing to go for my goal which is 140-145 or whatever my body seems to "like" best. We'll see, won't we?

A dear friend recommended this site to me, so here I am.
We went kayaking today - only about 2 hours or so, but I still had a great time. We put in at Rattlesnake Bar and paddled just past Mormon Ravine and ate our lunch in the shade of a hill.
I purely love kayaking! It's like nourishment for the soul.
