Okay...so I just tucked my baby boy (4) Zack in....he's sleeping like an angel. he has no idea that Mommy'y life is about to change drastically tomorrow.My eight year old daughter, Emma, will be quite a different story. I'm going to lay down with her in a few minutes. She's going to be full of drama and questions as to why I have to do this, I've explained it. Anyway...I feel like I should be more nervous ..but I'm not. I've had many surgeries before. I'll keep you posted....ta ta for now. See you on the losing side.

I am totally excited....I feel like I'm going on a Carribean vacation for 2 weeks. I'm that excited.  Can't wait to see the results

My surgery is one week from today.  I thought it would never get here...and now...wow!  It flew by. I'm very excited. Just slightly nervous...but mostly really excited and ready.

Started the protein shake thing Monday. My surgeon says it's not mandatory, but it makes the laproscopic bypass procedure a little easier by reducing some belly fat and shrinking the liver. He told me to do my best and not to sweat it on Thanksgiving. So far so good. I'm drinking the Atkins Advantage chocolate shakes. Four of those per day plus two fruits and a salad with chicken for dinner. Totally do-able. I'm down four pounds in as many days.  Twelve more til surgery. Very excited. Will keep you posted.

Tomorrow I have to go to Brigham and Woman's for my abdominal ultrasound and to meet with anesthesia.  Even though it's a production making it to all tyhese appointments, I'm excited beciause it gets me that much closer to the surgery.
