So everyone out there has a story, so here is mine.

My name is Nathalie and I am 25 years old. I will be 26 in December. I have been heavy all of my life and I am finally ready to get serious about my health. I know it sounds silly that after all of these years I am really ready to do something but I am. I am 5'5" tall and approx. 285lbs. The first time I threw out my hip was when I was 16. I have arthritis in my hips and knees, I have lower back pain that at times is almost unbearable, I have cysts on my ovaries, Asthma, and probably a whole bunch of things I have yet to learn about.

My family history is pretty bad also. My dad has an enlarged heart, gout, and possibly some other things. He is not a doctor person. My mother has degenerative joint disease, heel spurs, hypertension, and is also obese. Other family history includes diabetes.

I plan on updating as much as possible since I am starting this process finally. I have been a member on here since ’05 but haven’t been active. I have been researching this for forever. I have never had an insurance company that would cover the surgery. Now that i have one I am going to take full advantage of this opprotunity. Now that I have an insurance company offered by my employer that offers Gastric bypass I can finally pursue surgery.
