6 month supervised diet

Well I just got off the phone with Phil the guy at the surgeons office that handles all the insurance stuff. I called him just to see if there was any additional info he could give me before my appointment with my pcp next week. He did say that he deals with my insurance all the time nd that the only reason he sees denials from them is because patients dont follow the program the way they are supossed to....what ever that means. So as long as I do as I am told hopefully I will sail through this. He did tell me that one of the pre req's is to do the 6 months supervised diet. Oh well, I kinda figured that I would have to do this. I am looking at it as positive as I can, I will have 6 months to really research and allow this to sink in. My only question is what kind of outcome is the insurance company looking for from the 6 month diet. Do they want to see that you can lose the weight or that you are unable to?????
