Diabetes

So I had to make a trip home. My fathers best friend passed away the other day. I got a call from my brother telling me. He had said he just never woke up from his sleep. At first they didn't know if it was a heart attack or what but it turns out he went into Diabetic Shock and didnt make it. He was 57 years old and it was very unexpected. I read alot of stories on OH about people who start out with Diabetes and then after WLS it goes away. I just wanted to put a little bit of awareness out there. My brother has diabetes and I always joke around with him cuz he can't eat anything fun. The issue is so much more than not just being able to have sugar. It is a killer and for the people that deal with it on a daily basis, my heart goes out to you.

Today I saw a prayer for Bobby Schmidt he will be loved and missed.
