Donna D.
Hello my name is Donna "Tasha", My close friends and family calls me Tasha! I am now 5ft 11inches tall 327lbs! When I started on my journey, I was at my highest weight 338lbs!. My nutritionist, and my insurance carrier "Kaiser Permenete(feds) required me to loose only 10lbs, talk to a behavior health spec, and go to 6 nutrition classes! Well I am finished with this, and now it is time to adventure into a healthy lifestyle change! My husband of 12yrs is so very supportive, while he says that he loves me now, and really does not want me to change, I explained to him about my own personal problems that led me to this life altering decision, and they are:
1. Being able to fasten your seat belt and fit comfortably in an airplane seat.
2. I am a fun and outgoing person, and I would like to
fit on a roller coaster with out being told that "you
are to big to ride, in front of your kids."
3. Going to normal events "concerts, school
events with my kids, family events"and being able
to just fit in any seat.
4. riding a bike, doing more atheletic activities with
my children, going to more social events with out
feeling to big.
5. Me and my daughter are true divahs
"hair, makeup, fashion, bags and shoes" I
ohhhhhhhh soooooo love it, so wearing what I
want and putting on some heels would be great!
6. Last but most important, "feeling good about
myself"!
When I explained all of this to him, and involved him in my weight loss journey, he got very involved,"To involved if you ask me"lol! He makes sure I take my vitamins everyday, he went with me to a weight loss seminar, and we got to meet my surgeon, and he is so happy, and excited for me! My daughter is 12yrs old, she dances, and models, I would love to do this with her very soon. My son is 18yrs old and is in his freshman year at Morgan State He is very atheletic, and I would love to do some sporting events with him. So this is me world and WATCH OUT HERE I COME!!!
STORY #2
My Little brother was shot and killed on the horrible streets of Baltimore City. He and I was 4yrs apart, my life has not been the same since he left! He was very overweight also, and it was hard for me and my family to make burial arrangements due to his size! Derrick was the life of every party and was a big old teddy bear! He is one of my most important reasons for this surgery Imiss you lil bro.
