Current weight 139lbs omg I can't believe it. I have not been this weight since I was in junior high school. People that have not seen me in a while hardly don't  recognize me. I now hear all the time u look so much younger, and all I can do is smile and say thank u LORD. I now have so much more energy, it's still unbelievable to me, how much weight I have lost. I just pray that I can keep the weight off. I'm so glad I've got a second chance at life. I now love to shop, it's kind of scary because all I do is shop for new clothes. But oh well I 'm really good at bar-gin shopping. It's so much fun to shop for clothes now. When I was 245lbs one outfit use to cost me 100.00 now one outfit costs 50.00. What a big difference. My husband had gastric bypass surgery on 02/27/09. He is doing really well also. No dumping or N/V so far. he is 4 wks out today and he is down 32 pounds, way to go I'm so proud of you keep up the good work. Well now I'm caught up on my post. I will add some new pics soon.

Hello my oh family. I know it's been a while since I've last updated my page. Everyone knows how busy one can get. Well today I have some time to update. This is an update for my 9Th month post-op post. My current weight is 144lbs down from 245lbs total lost 101lbs whoo hoo, yeah baby. I'm so proud of myself, for all my hard work and dedication. This road has not been easy but it has all been well worth the ride. I need to get myself my century club card and post it on my page. I'm still losing weight but at a much slower pace, I guess that's good, due to I don't want to lose the weight to fast and start to look sickly. Everyone keeps telling me I'm looking smaller and smaller each time they see me. Boy oh boy it sounds so good to hear those words. This has been an awesome journey and I'm so glad I can share it with my oh family. I'm still able to eat whatever I want without getting sick, no nausea or vomiting. I don't know if that's good or bad. Because I know I can have whatever I want, and I don't want to start to pick up bad habits again. Yes I have tested the waters on my sugar intake and guess what no dumping. But I do notice If I consume to much sugar at once I get really sleepy, someone told me that's also a form of dumping. Other than that I do fine with other foods. I want to tell my family thanks for being there for me and being patient with me. My poor husband I chew him out every time he tries to tell me I shouldn't be eating some foods, but I know he is 100% right, so sorry baby.

Hello my oh family. Hope all is well with everyone. Happy holidays to each and everyone of y'all. Well yes it's time to give an update on my progress so far. Once again I have to give thanks to the good Lord up above because with out him this could of not been possible. Yes this last month has been a hard struggle to drop the weight. my weight loss has slowed down dramatically, I have lost only a total of 7 pounds this month. I know it is truly my fault. I have been eating all the wrong types of foods, yes I have been a bad girl this last month, I don't know what has gotten into me, but I have to get myself back on track. I have made a promise to myself that I did not get this surgery only to gain that weight back. I'm going to set some new goals for myself and I will keep everyone posted. Please pray for me. My magic number this month is 149lbs for a total of 96lbs lost so far. Hope I can reach my goal of 100lbs by December 25Th 2008. I have some new pictures I will place on my page soon. Take care til next time.

Hello My oh family. Hope all is well with everyone. Well time is going by so fast. I can't believe I'm already 4 months post-op, thank GOD once again for giving me this opportunity to shine. Well not much is going on, I'm now down 60 lbs whoo hoo.The weight loss has slowed down a bit. I have stopped being a slave to the scale, because it was driving me crazy. Evertime I get on the scale it's going back and fourth. So I have decided to weigh myself once a week only.  Congrats Kim Walker my surgery buddie we had surgery the same day with the same surgeon 1 hr apart. She is doing so good, keep up the good work. I really enjoyed seeing you yesturday at the support group meeting, girl you are looking great. I want to thank my family for giving me so much support, I love Yall. My current weight is now 185lbs. My starting weight 245lbs. I have taken some new pictures so please check them out and leave me a comment. I'm so glad once again that I have found this web site, it is awesome, so much great information.  I'm still going strong with taken all my daily vitamins, I can't say I'm doing good with the protein, yes I have been slacking, but i'm going to pick back up the pace, because I notice when I'm doing good with the protein shakes the weight loss is much better, then the scale starts to move again. So far so good with everthing I've eaten so far everthing seems to agree with me, which is so scary , I don't won't to get back into my old bad habits, it scares me to death, I truly need to make more healthier food choices. Please pray for me. Well I had a wow moment the other day me and the family went out to eat and I actually was able to cross my legs under the table whoo hoo. I have not been able to do that in years, it felt so good. I also have been doing a little clothes shopping because all my stuff is getting way to big. Yes I can now fit into a size 14 jeans and lg-xl shirt whoo hoo. I can't remember the last time I was able to fit into those sizes.  I'm now off all my blood pressure medications I'm so glad one less pill I have to worry about. Well I know it only gets better, so I'll keep everyone posted till next month take care.

Far as the weight loss I've lost a total of 50lbs since surgery 04/16/08. I'm now in onederland!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!! My weight loss has been kind of slow for the most part, which is kind of good. I don't want to lose to much to fast. I'm still going strong with my protein and vitamins. I'm mainly getting my protein from my diet. I try to eat a least 3 servings of lean meats a day and some type of vegetables. I'm trying to consume 64 oz of water a day, but this is an area I need to work on. I love to drink cyrstal light all day long, that drink is so good. I've started walking 4 miles a day 5 days a week, It's getting easier as time goes along please pray for me that I can continue. My clothes are now getting to big, I have been doing a little shopping I'm now in a size 16 pants and xl shirts whoo hoo.
