Good Things are happening

Jan 11, 2011

So, this christmas was a special one for me. I got to spend it with family. My family who is always so supportive of everthing we do as a family, got a chance to see me for the first time since having my surgery last August. First my mom and dad sent me a late birthday present about a month and a half ago as a late birthday surprise (because my birthday is in September) and the surprise were a new pair of jeans (that she guessed the size of) from pictures that I had sent to her already. The jeans were 10 inches smaller in the waist than the ones i wore to work that day. couple packs of polo underwear that were two sizes smaller than the ones I had on, and a couple shirts that were two sizes smaller. Well that was awesome then. However, this Christmas they basically treated me like a MAN DOLL. I loved every bit of it! I got sooo many clothes it was unreal. And of course I had to try on every single item. And i'm sure that many can relate that when you are super big, trying on clothes can be a downright horrible stressful and depressing event. But NOT THIS TIME!!!! WOOT WOOT. But what goes up must come down is super true. By the time I got back home and unloaded I had a daunting task the next day. I was so attached to the clothes that I did have for whatever reason. They fit loose, They were finally too big, They were super super comfortable, They provided a shield, somewhat of a camoflage(in my mind), They COST MORE THEN MOST MORTGAGES, (we all know big & tall is expensive as hell) . It was like I was letting go of a part of me thats been me for the last 20 years. It was kinda sad..... I mean, It's a trip how sooo much emotion can be happening and you dont know it or realize that that is actually what's going on. However, That's the case for me. So as I went through a closet emptying, and a chester draw emptying, The only I could think about was, with God's blessing, I wont have to ever get back here again. Who can I help? And somebody is going to definately be blessed with these clothes and I look forward to that part. Now, My new wardrobe as well as shopping as well as trying on clothes will be an experience that I can look forward to. Everybody count your blessings. This gift that we have recieved is the best gift I have ever received.
