Well things are slow, but hey I'm down and I have to realize that I need exercise in my life.  Sometimes I feel I'm all for it and sometimes I'm not.  Its just that I have to make it a daily part of my life.  I was good about it for 4 months and quit.  What the heck?!  So tomorrow I'm off to the store and get some more fresh healthier food items and I am going to focus on logging in every day and journaling more.  Its hard for me to do this.  So I just need to take more time fore me:)  This can be done!  Change may be slow, but the tortoise wins the race!  Yahoo!

Encourage & Back on the Trail

Well I am so excited to get back on the trail and out of the wilderness.  I've been struggling when I had my unfill at the end of December.  I gained a few lbs, but considering I didn't go back in 1 month like the dr said and went back on 2/26 and had my first fill of 2 cc's.  I feel full.  Not necessarily restriction, but I have been pretty good with no trouble following the rules.  I need to be careful so that I do not put things in my mouth when I'm not supposed to by habit.  My main scare is that I do not stretch my pouch.  I also do not want to eat too much mushies and end up gaining. 

I love my ellyptical and am making a goal of at least 1/2 hour per day if not 1 hour.  I am looking forward to being in some warm weather and being outside. 

Thankyou to all of you OH who gives such great advice and Dale to help support me.  We can do this together with help, hard work & our bands! 

MY GOAL for 8/14 is to be 200 lbs or less.

Slipped band

I went to the dr last Friday because I had intense back pain and for a few days some unreal acid reflux that I had never had before.  My doctor was gone and so I was able to get into another surgean.  Anyway- he did an upper GI and my band slipped.  I know now looking back that I was too tight. There was a couple of times for breakfast I tried to eat and I was like saying "oh xxxx" because it hurt to go down.  Same with drinking a little bit of fluid even a sip after I ate.  I wish I would have been told or given some symptom signs so I new when to call the doctor.  My surgery pain medication didn't even touch my back ache.  But they did an immediate unfill which helped right away.  I did have another pain medication to relieve the pain and it helped.  But I didn't need any more after that. I am feeling good.  I am currently down 39 lbs.  Hooray.  The other surgean thought I was losing really fast!  Which I didn't know if I agreed with that.  It dropped thought when I wasn't feeling very well.  So I go back in this Friday to see where its at and to see if I have a small fill.  He may just let it rest for a little bit. So we'll see what happens.  And also I was really upset and the dr had seen that I had been crying and he said that this can be common and it was okay, so it must have been a small slip!!

DOWN 30LBS! WAHOO!

Well I never thought how it would feel to be down the weight before I had the surgery.  It's almost unrealistic, because I would lose 17 lbs and then gain that back + a few.  I would maintain for weeks on end and then a holiday or a weekend away would come and I would sneak on a few lbs.  Wow - I feel so good 30 lbs.  I have lost more than Madilyn my two year old.  That feels great!  I am down 6 lbs since 9/29.  I am hoping to be down a few more before 11/10.  I go back to see the doctor then.  I have been pretty consistent with my exercise!  Even when I don't want to and it is approaching 2 months with 5 days or more of exercise.  Most an hour on the ellyptical and that is something all alone to celebrate.  I can't way to be down more and looking forward to my first huge goal of 50 lbs.  See you there!! STAY ON TRACK

It is definately easier said than done to keep on track.  It is really wierd to get used to the differences in restriction.  Sometimes I am way more restricted than others.  I had a banana a little while ago and I think I figured out what slimed means.  It felt like it was sliding on through real slow and I was very thirsty and dry mouth.  Since my first fill I have lost 3 lbs.  It is going slower, but it is still dropping.  I have been doing well with exercise.  I still have the same food challenges than before.  I cannot have some of that stuff around.  But I don't have any regrets! 


FIRST FILL 9/29

 MY FIRST FILL WENT WELL.  I HAD IT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT 3:00.  ALL I HAD TO DO IS LAY DOWN AND HE FELT FOR THE PORT.  PUT THE NEEDLE IN AND MADE SURE HE HAD IT.  I HAVE THE BAND THAT HOLDS 14CC'S.  HE SAID IT MAY HAVE 1 ALREADY IN SO I HAVE APPROXIMATELY HAVE 3 CC'S RIGHT NOW.  I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPT FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 WEEKS.  I WAS DOWN 25 LBS WITH THE DR. SCALE TOO.  YEAH!


STICKING TO PLAN

  I feel like I have done pretty well lately.  I've worked hard with my exercise from 30 minutes to 2 hours a day.  That's huge for me.  I've stayed in my calorie take pretty well.  I do notice I need to cut carbs some days, fat some days and balance out sodium, but at least I am noticeing what is wrong!  Thanks to Debbie - we're keeping eachother pretty in line!  I go to the dr. next Monday for my appt and maybe my first fill.  I'm nervous.

I'VE WORKED REALLY HARD THIS WEEK SO FAR ON EXERCISE ADN I FEEL SO GOOD.  I'VE DONE 350 MINUTES OF EXERCISE!  MOST OF IT ON THE ELLYPTICAL WHICH IS A GREAT CALORIE BURNER.  I REALLY WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS SURGERY WORKS AND I NEED A FILL WHICH WILL HAPPEN ON 9/29!  I'M EXCITED AND NEVOUS AT THE SAME TIME.  I WANT IT TO GO WELL AND TO HAVE NO PROBLEMS! THAT OF COURSE IS SOO SCARY!  BUT MOST OF ALL I WANT THIS SURGERY TO BE A SUCCESS AND I KNOW THAT I NEED TO WORK HARD.  I AM USING DAILY PLATE AND EXERCISING ALOT.  PRAYERS NEEDED.  I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

OKAY!  I NEED SOME HELP AND I AM GOING TO REALLY WORK ON POSTING ONLINE AND USING THIS SITE. I AM SCARED OF GAINING.  I AM GONG UP AND DOWN 2 LBS CONSISTENTLY.  I NEED TO WORK ON WALKING AND EXERCISING.  I FEEL LIKE I AM THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD THAT FEELS LIKE THIS!  IKES.  HELP!!!
