For me it was pretty basic. Life or death. I was 30 years old and 400 pounds. Diabetic, high blood pressure etc. I could continue the way I was and lead a life of misery only to end up dying like my Dad or I could take hold of my situation and actually get a life. That's what I chose to do. Dr. Flum and his team saved my life. literally! Since my surgry I have spoken twice at the University Medical Center bariatric Surgry Seminars that are held once a month.
