I was all set to have surgery with Dr.Lynch in Nashville Tn., I had a date for surgery I was planning on Rny!!! But the closer time was getting the more I felt like this was going to be a mistake!!!! I wanted choices, and it don,t matter what surgery you have, you have got to take vitimins for life.  Thanks to a DS, friendly board, I was told,I might have to travel, but my insurance would pay for DS !   So I was told Dr. Anthone was the best of the best, by a lot of peeps. I made my appointment with Dr. Anthone,about the 14th of Oct., I only had to wait,  about 2 weeks,for my 1st appointment.,which was Oct.27th.  In the mean  time, I got my records,sent to Dr.Anthones office, from Dr.Lynch,s office. When I arrived at Dr. Anthones office, they sure make you feel welcome. They got me right in, no waiting. Dr. Anthone is so great, he took the time to explain everything. It was a blessing to go there,and return the same day. When I left his office, I had all my pre-op test in my hands. I had appointment on Nov. 12th locally,I got all my pre-op test finish,on Nov 19th 09, I had a date.I got a big Christmas gift, I still can,t believe,  ( Dr.Anthone  ) litterly, going to due my surgery on christmas eve, Dec 24 2009 of course in the morning !!!  Dr. Anthone got me in for surgery, before I had to pay a new deductible, which work out great.  They sure think of there patients first. My best of advice to a newbie is research,research,research ! DS, was 1st introduced by Dr. Hess,in 1988. most  wls Dr.s  are not doing the DS because it takes exstra surgical training...    Ds advantage, { no ulcers,no food getting stuck ,stomas,throwing up, no dumping, we can eat normal,and still lose weight.   The DS stats speaks for it,s self.  long term it keeps the weight off...( DSFACTS.COM ) THERE ARE 4 SURGERIES TO CHOOSE FROM. 1st DS-2nd-Sleeve-3rdRny-4th the band.  Remember surgical side affects,selecting,remember,this surgery is the way you,ll have to live,for the rest of your life.  Are you willing to just excist? Or are you wanting to live? This surgery should be about getting healthy.
