5 Months Post op

Aug 06, 2011

Well tomorrow will be 5 months since I had surgery. I have lost 83 pounds thus far including my pre-op loss. I am @ 219. I had a stall for the last week and a half that ended today with 1.4 pound loss..:-) I have officially lost more than I ever did with my band in a 1/3 of the time. I would like to lose 60 more pounds but would be estatic to lose 70. The batwigs are my biggest area of concerned. I wonder if I will ever lose my big thighs and stomach. Hopefully in time. My only complaint so far has been the hair lost that really kicked off the last month. Went and got a pixie type cut on my hair on 8/3/11. I have been using Boitin & Nioxin shampoo since 1 month out. I was already thin on top, it is thinner but the biggest loss was in the back. I haven't taken pics or measured my self yet this month. My hubby said he would help me tomorrow. I will dress up and take pics on Monday. I have tolerated most things. I did try some chips and salsa one night very small amount and within 30 minutes was sickier than a dog. I have not tried it since. I still do not know hunger, although I get twinges occassionally so I think the nerves are coming back.. I do get a pressure if I eat too much and my nose will run most of the time is its time to stop eating. I attend water aerobics 3 x a week. I have been unable to do any other exercise due to back issues. I feel good all the time, sleep well and don't need as much sleep, although I have never needed as much as my hubby. He goes to sleep with the chickens if he can. I can wear some 16's but mainly 18's, xl shirts. I have weeded out the closet again this last month. Still have quite a few outfits I am waiting to get into that I bought while I was losing with my band. I am averaging about 8-10 pounds a month now but believe I am also losing some good inches, total of 40 inches and BMI went from 52 to 38.7. I put on some pants and wore them this week that are now baggy, they were too tight 2 weeks ago. Pics to come. Awesome journey so far. I continue to have no problems getting 80-100 grms protein daily, 90-120 ounces of water/crystal lite a day, taking supplements and eating by RNY rules. I have a fear of failure that is always in the back of my mine, "am I eating too much", "am I going to stretch my pouch" "am I going to lose any more weight"....

1st month - 24# loss
2nd month - 15# loss
3rd month - 13# loss
4th month - 10# loss

5th month - 9.2# loss
