Time flies
Mar 18, 2013
I haven't posted anything in a long long time.
Since the last time I have had many changes. I moved, my oldest moved away and I had the lap-band removed on February 7, 2013. I had a revision to the Roux en-y.
I decided to have the change done when I moved to Georgia. For a couple of reasons - 1) I couldn't get a fill because my port was flipped and it was too painful and couldn't be done even under floro. 2) doctors do not want to take lapband patients that were not theirs to begin with and since I moved to Georgia from Michigan I was in a pickle. 3) I gained all the weight back that I originally lost since I couldn't use the lapband as the tool it is supposed to be.
Now that I am almost 6 weeks out and have lost 30 pounds already I am sooooooo happy I made the choice for the revision. I will start posting more and becoming more active on this site. I need the support since I quit everything when I decided to have the surgery. My body has been asking WTF are you doing to me. I quit smoking, eating sugar and fat, only one cup of coffee and no emotional eating. It is all good but has been difficult as I have been going through the motions..
I SUCK right now!

My Motivation
May 30, 2007
This is me now at 195 pounds.
This is me at goal at 115 pounds.
Now this is my motivation to work my "tool". I went and had this surgery so I can get healthy. I have not been doing that and am going to start getting off my butt and work it. No more junk to eat and no more sitting on my butt and watching tv. I want to sweat and get out side. I need to get healthy.
Just another complaint!

Well that needs to stop! I need to pay attention to me. I went to my PCP's office on Tuesday, May 15th and weighed in at 196.6. So I have lost a little but I have not really been walking these last 2 weeks. Last week I was sick and this week I just haven't.
It is time to get my butt in gear!!! Stop eating crap, no more Starbucks, or get the sugar free, fat free stuff. An iced latte is just as good.
I did quit smoking - AGAIN! but I think this time will be for good. I really have been okay with it just going through withdrawls makes me want to much on sugar and salt. I will start taking a walk when I want to smoke that way I won't eat. Or drink a large glass of water.
This week I will lose - I hope :-) Sunday will be hard with the BBQ and all but I have to say NO to crappy food.

So this is Bandster Hell

Oh well I won't be having these things but that doesn't change the fact that I want them.
I need to set a goals list and follow through with them. I haven't done so yet and maybe that is my problem. I will put one together and once I am done will post it later.
Doing Good!
Feb 27, 2007
I have an appointment with Dr. Wood on Friday. My port area is swollen. It doesn't hurt except occasionally but it is hard and distended. The nurse thought I should see the doctor so that is what I will be doing. Hopefully I am just healing slowly there. We will see.
Back to Work

My appointment with Dr. Wood went great last Friday, he said that I looked great and everything looks to be healing well. I had lost about 13 pounds so I was pretty happy about that. My MIL brought me to my appointment and we had to bring my 2 year old. She was so good but when the doctor was done examining me the baby wanted to get on the table and would not let us put her coat on until the doctor listened to her heart too. Dr. Wood thought is was the cutest thing and said that she made his day. I love my little girl she is so funny.
Well I am happy tomorrow will be mushie food - no more soup. I am really enjoying this experience so far and I love my band.
