Halloween Candy
Oct 12, 2009
Damn it.I was doing well. SOOO well! The surgeon is thrilled with my progress. He said by the 1st anniversary he expects to see 70% of the excess weight lost and after only seven months I am already at 63%. I eat right, I exercise. The holidays between February 23rd and September 30th had not been a problem (okay, so there's only been one real candy-related holiday and that was all of a month an a half after my surgery, but still, I can buy candy all year round.)
The problem is that I bought candy, the entire intention being that it was there for my co-workers, but I made a HUGE tactical error. I read the nutritional information. The info told me I could eat a piece or two without dismay.
DISMAY!! DISMAY!!
I should have known better. I DO know better. I also have a jack-o-lantern candy pail that I have filled up fore the past several years on Halloween and I didn't want to break tradition. Now I feel sick. Ugh. I've had to move the candy from my desk and I hate that I allowed myself to be weak.
Damn it.
