Sunday night.  The end of the weekend.  Today was my birthday, and frankly I was feeling a bit sorry for myself that none of my friends or family could be with me today.  I almost made a cake just to celebrate all by myself.  But I didn't!  And then my best friend called and we decided to take a walk together even though we are 180 miles apart!  So, instead of making and eating cake, I walked.  I'm very happy with myself that I made those choices.

Now it's time to get ready for Monday...yuck!

Today I attended my first general information/introduction session.  I felt so good being there!  I really was not nervous at all.  I guess that goes to show how ready I am to do this.  The people were friendly and helpful, and I came out of there feeling really positive about my decision to do this.  I am going to anther session at a different hospital next week, and am excited to have something now to compare it to. It is really important to me to feel like I really looked into several programs and found the one that is the best for me.  If that means it takes me a little longer to get to surgery, well then so be it.  After all, it took me 47 years to get to now....
