2 weeks out

Feb 27, 2013

So I'm two weeks post op... and I have lost 30 pounds already from when I left the hospital!!!! Total since I started this journey... 50 pounds! I can see the change already. This is NOT an easy way out though, let me tell you! Wanting to emotionally eat is still something I struggle with, and I have been pretty light headed lately but I think it is because I need my blood pressure medication lowered. I WILL be under 300 pounds by the time I reach a month out, and it will be the first time in ten years that I will have been under that weight! Last time I was under 300 pounds I was 22!!!

My stomach cramps some times, and if I eat too fast or too much it HURTS but it is teaching me to slow down and watch for signals of fullness. I can't wait until I can eat "real" foods again, though. I am probably only taking in at most 500 calories a day right now, and even that is a high guess. But hey, I don't feel too bad so I guess it is okay. Gonna start walking more, and as soon as I get my doctor's okay I am joining Gold's gym to start weight training and swimming. Def serious about reaching my goal weight... preferably in 6-8 months.

After, I plan to do reconstructive surgery and then tat over the scars. So in two years hopefully I will be looking and feeling better. This is something I really wanted, and seeing the weight come off so quickly is really making it worth it for me, even though it's not easy. Can't wait to hear people tell me I am beautiful, and not "oh you have such a pretty face." Can't wait till I can run around with my children without getting winded. I already have great sex but I'm sure after it will be a lot better! So yeah... I'm starting to appreciate my decision to do this a lot more.
