Yeah!!! I did it! I am officially 9 days post-op today and I feel wonderful!!! I went in on Thursday 7/18 at 6:00 a.m. I weighed in 2 pounds less then when I was in for all of my pre-op testing. The surgery was about 3 hours long. Sure I was in some pain but I hardly remember it now. It sort of reminds me of when I had my c-section almost 11 years ago. I know I shouldn't have but I jumped on my mom's scale this morning. According to it, I have lost 13 pounds. I am still on the all liquid diet til Sunday night. Monday I begin the full liquids. The clear liquids weren't that bad...there is just no variety and right about now I am in need of variety! LOL I had a long 300 + mile trip home from the hospital. The doctor gave me a nice shot of morphine in my rear end but I haven't taken anything but Tylenol since! My family still can't believe it! Well I'm going to go rest now...a long full day of relatives has just left from visiting me. I'll post more later! It's so great to finally be a loser!!!!

Tammy is doing GREAT!!! I saw her on Saturday, and she was up and walking and drinking!!!! I am SOOOOO proud of her!!!!! I called her this morning at 9:10 am, and she was all packed and ready for her trip back to her folks place in Philly. She was just waiting for them to do her leak test. I am sure that she is back at home right now and resting. She was so brave. She was so much more ready for this than I was. And I just know that she is going to be a big success. She is so determined and anxious to start her new life. I will keep in touch with her, and I am sure that she will post updates to her page as time goes on. Good luck, woman!!! I love you.

Tammy had her surgery and is doing great! I stopped to see her on Thursday night, and she was in some pain and still VERY sleepy. I will be going up to see her again today. I have called the ICU nurses station several times, and they report that she is doing great. She is up and walking around, and she is loving her ice chips!!! LOL Everything is going great, and I am so proud of her. She is so strong.
