I saw Dr. Spaw today (5-19-10) We set the date for surgery!!! June 22, 2010 YIPEEE!!!!!! I have to get cardiac clearance from my cardiologist but I am praying that wont take too long to get in to see him. I have to see the nutritionist june1st. and get all the pre-op testing done that day as well. I am so happy and scared too. I can not say enough about Dr. Spaw such a great caring attitude and personality I felt very at ease with him! my husband had him laughing with the question" How grumpy is she going to be??" Then my 6 year old chimes in saying give her a meanie pill.( haha I guesss They are scared of the changes coming soon. LOL!!!)     :)

well I am set up for a Dr. visit on May 19th....... I was told after meeting the surgeon I could expect to have surgery 2-3 weeks after seeing him.. So very nervous but excited I dont think I have slept much because the anxiety is getting to me... I am so worried about my husband he has been so sick this past year with RA and a mass on his lung that turned out to be Histoplasmosis, I dont want to burden him by no means by being laid up for this surgery.I pray the Good Lord will watch over us and help him.

Today at Wal Mart I was talking to a girl that I have always done her hair ! She had wls and I was asking her questions about her surgery since I have not had mine yet I wanted to know some helpful suggestions. This skiny woman came up to the aisle so I politely stepped aside and said excuse me and I stepped back over not seeing her husband or whatever and he cleared his throat and I turned and apologised and stepped aside as he walked toward his wife she growled and said I wish those fat asses would get the F*** out of the way.Granted this is not the first time I have been sneared at and I know it wont be the last but Darn it Im so tired of this crap!!!!!!!!!! Why does ppl have to be so darn cruel????? Just had to vent.....

Well on March 24th 2010, I began my journey to a new healthier me!! I went to Baptist Hospital in Nashville Tennessee to the office of Dr. Spaw. I filled out a packet then met with the insurance specialist she weighed me and did my BMI which was 45.5 I weigh 290.8 lbs. She contacted my Insurance co and they said the surgery would be pd at 100%. My Endocrinologist sent a letter with me listing my health status.On April 1 2010 I had to go to a WLS seminar it was held by the surgeon I picked, It was very informative I left there though not sure which surgery best fit me but Im hoping he will help me decide. My next step was to see a Psycologist for my evaluation after answering a 425 questioniaire and doing several verbal and written tests we were finished that was done on April 13, 2010. Now its a waiting game Im not sure if I will see a nutritionist next or if I will see the Dr. I just know Im anxious.I see posts where some wait up to 6 months I dont know if I can handle it I am very impatient LOL! But I hope things will start rolling soon.
