If the pain isn't enough, running slight fever

Well, if the pain that I have that has not subsided to less than 3/10 wasn't bad enough, I started with a low grade temp of 99.5 this morning and immediately checked my discharge instructions which are to call the surgeon if it is above 101. I've gotten close to that today but so far, not 101, been taking Tylenol, cool rags, trying to drink plenty of fluids but my capacity is limited, of course. Someone tell me does this misery ever end?
