3 Months post up today down 63 lbs wow

Jun 23, 2013

I was pleasantly surprised by my weight loss this week.  Keeping the weigh ins to once a week was a great move.  Keeping my meals as protein and my snacks as vegetables is a nice plan and I do not feel deprived or hungry.  Using the protein shakes as my morning up and go and my exercise routine varied all seems to work.

I am half way to goal, very exciting.  This is where I should be, unlike past diets this lifestyle change is easy and non depriving. I am encourage as I have not been this weight since 1987, when I lost weight on weight watchers so I was not at this weight long.

I feel great.  One side effect is that none of my clothes fit well and I feel a bit like I am wearing somebody else's clothes.  I think I should buy a couple of pairs of pants, maybe at goodwill or something in expensive.

I am excited and motivated, and want to succeed.  There is a bit of fear as well as I am in uncharted area and I want long term success.

Respectfully submitted..

week 10 & 11 56.5 lbs down

Jun 10, 2013

Didn't have a chance to blog last week, end of school year juggling the kids.

I have gotten some interesting responses from my new body.  I have had several people not recognize me, that is a strange experience. Now every 5 lbs makes me look so different.  I need to increase my protein intake as usual.  I have to find some creative ways.

This last week I didn't lose as much as I should due to to much entertaining and not enough high protein low carb choices.  My portions seem  right on and I have developed a taste for homemade tea.  Trying to make the tea half the caffeine.

This next week is tough as I will have the kids for  a longer time, and less time to work out.  Change in schedules is always hard.

So far so good.  I wanted to be at 60 lbs lost by tomorrow, but doesn't look like that is going to happen, just a few lbs off goal.

Exciting I am now at the weight I was when I started weight watchers a year after I graduated high school.  I can not weight to be under 200 lbs, which will probably take about 6 weeks.  That will be a huge milestone.  Well attitude is positve, and feedback is positive, just need to stay on track with protein, water and exercise.

ps-- where have my butt and boobs gone... lol

week 9, two months +1 day down 49

May 27, 2013

Wow when I look at the title above I am so happy at the accomplishments.  But I must admit this was not a good week for me.

My work out went great, but i had three days where I was worried I worried I was falling into old patterns.  I am going to nip that in the bud.  The two bad patterns are not eating, then overeating. I will conquer that with having the right foods readily available. The second pattern is the walk by the pantry and just grab a few (somethings) This week it was chocolate chips and a sweet pretzel snack and popped popcorn. The solution do not have those foods in the house.  I can resists chips which surprises the hell out of me, because that was my drug of choice.  I have always like having the crunchy.  The second solution is to dehydrates some cucumbers and sprinkle them with cinnamon and leave them for a healthy snack.

My weight loss was significant this week, but being honest with myself I did not earn it with my couple of slips.  Next week will probably show a less than stellar weight loss that I did earn.  I will eat clean this week. But I accept I am only human and own the choices I made.

Here is to getting down 5 lbs this week it will take hard work...since it is my less gym time week.  tj

Week 8-- 80 lbs to goal

May 20, 2013

This week brought some interesting things including hunger.  It least I think it is hunger.  I went to bed 3 days feeling hungry but knowing I had eaten enough.  I was tempted by foods that were not tempting before.  This week I am going to watch the fat intake of my protein and ramp up my exercise to my burn level.

I am proud of my progress so far, it seems a little harder but, I am increasing my water intact, watching for lean protein and having veggies for snacks.  I have purchased a dehydrator and am making veggies that are like chips for that chip craving. Also this weeks focus is on cardio and arm work..

Will upload new pictures today... I am positive this will be a great week.

week 7- getting a rhythm down 41.5

May 12, 2013

Exciting week last week.  As I am getting rhythm on my eating and exercise.  So one week exercise is intense averaging 1000 calorie burn 5 days a week, the other is just simple walks and some toning averaging 250 burn 4 days a week.  The protein or meat at each mean and the snacks of vegetable works pretty well.  The goal of having 2 protein shakes a day is tough to meet.  90% of the time I get at least one.

I am excited and the next 20 lbs loss, as that will put me at the weight I graduated high school at.  From their it seems the goals get closer and closer. Can't wait to see what I look like at 155...

ever shrinking... yeah.. tj

week 6 down 36.5 lbs

May 06, 2013

Last week was a great week... I am getting a rhythm to my life plan.  The plan of eating protein at each meal and vegetables at each snack keeps me satisfied.  It is still hard to get 90 to 100 grams of protein in each day.  But If I get at least 70 each day and 3+ days with 90-100 I feel successful.

There are days that I can not stand the taste of protein shakes, but have at least one per day.  Trying for two each day.  Adding vanilla protein to diet cranberry juice seems to make it less obtrusive.  I am now down 36.5 and am excited for next weeks weight loss to but me in the 230 range.

Every other week is an intense work out week this seems to be a nice flow as well.

week 5 Down 30 lbs+ yeah

Apr 28, 2013

This was a great week.  I am back to full physical activity.  I had a fabulous walk workout of 7.4 miles loved it.  Burned over 1000 calories a day for 4 days this week.  Awesome.  Food wise I can now eat everything.  Yeah.  I am having difficulty getting all the protein in with the calorie set at 600 so increased to max of 800 to help.  Also Dr. Recommended that I have 2-3 protein shakes a day, and 3 meals of just protein (lean) protein, and snacks of vegetables.

That seams to be working I like the ease of that type of planning.  So I have a long way to go but am on the right track.  This is a tough week to get the high calorie burn but I will try to get consistent work outs in instead of power work outs.

post 4 week--dissappointed in weight loss

Apr 22, 2013

Well, I am not too devastated.  26 lbs in 4 weeks is really not bad  right.  I heard it is common to hit a 3 weeks slump, so I am in it for the long haul.  I do notice I seem to be taking up less space.  I want to be able to get down to 245 so hopefully with my availability to work out this week, I will be getting closer.

I am learning new things all the time.  Made some mistakes this last week not eating breakfast. bit no no.. need to make sure I have my protein shakes regularly.  I need to take two spoonfulls out of every portion because I just can not eat even the small amount i think i can.

I need to make sure that I have two protein shakes a day.  I love the uses for greek yogurt and I love making soup with healthy veggies.  I am excited about having regular foods.  Wish me luck... t

Post 3 Week 3 253 less than 100 to go

Apr 14, 2013

Week in review--

This week was much easier.  I was able to have soft foods and tolerated them nicely.  I did have some stomach pain on Sunday, but rested it thru.  I decided this week to only way weekly as daily would make me moody as it will fluctuate up and down.  I really just need to know week over week.  My family for the most part was supportive.  Did get one comment "most likely my skin removal surgery will be covered by insurance" I am sure they mean well but that is a year off, and I need to be successful today.

So I am focusing on the daily, planning ahead that I always have protein and liquid with me when I am away from home.  I was able to go to the gym 4 times this week, I wish it was more, but I am in this for the long haul.  I can see that I am smaller.  That I take up less space.  People notice there is something but not sure what it is.

Well, I am living my life even though I had the procedure and that does make me happy.   I write down everything even the bad things, but at least I own them and am in control.  I had two bites of birthday cake my hubby's bday, and I knew it was not the best thing to do but it was my choice and I made it guilt free.  I think that is a big step for me.  I own it and it is okay.

Well I really hope to lose 5 lbs this week as I believe that would put me at 30 and that would be awesome for the first month.  Tough week as I have the kids home so it is harder to go to the gym but I will figure it out.  Its tough not stepping on the scale.

Until next week.  tj
