1st appt. after insuranse approval

I called the surgeon's office yesterday to see how the insuranse approval was going, They said they would check on it, and call me back.  I got my call about an hour later. APPROVED!   We scheduled a weigh in for the next day (today).  I am feeling excited to go weigh in, I think usually I would feel negative about it, but  I have lost 17lbs on my own since the last time I was in the office, I can go in with some confidence.  I have to pay my balance $1,450.00  YUCK!  The more I read on the OH forums, the more I think I made the right decision to go with the center of excellence, even if you have to pay  out of pocket for some things.  I still hate to spend money though, espically with my husbands daughter and ex-wife chomping at the bit for more child support.
