4 Weeks Post-op

Four weeks post-op and I am doing fine.  I found the first food that doesn’t settle well with my new stomach.  A hot dog was the culprit.  No big loss there.  Other than that I have been easily able to eat anything I’ve tried.  Of course I am only trying those things the doctor has oked.  Here are a few of my numbers from yesterday:  Water 48oz. (still need to improve), Protein 71, Carbs 10, Cal 828.

I have about two bm a day anywhere from an hour to three hours apart in the morning.  When people warn they stink, believe them. Lol.  I am going to have to reread some old postings and find out what the vets use to help control the smell.

I have been weighing myself daily and have found I have only been losing weight about 2 days out of the week.  It gets frustrating watching the scale stay in the same place the other days, but when I total those two days together that number doesn’t look so bad.  So, this coming week I am going to TRY not to weigh myself until next Friday.  I have lost 4.2lbs this week. 

Exercise – yup I have slowly started it.  I am up to 26min on my recumbent bike.  I know that doesn’t sound like much, but I started out at 5min and have worked my way up.  I have not exercised in a really long time.
